Working Principle : When downstream demand decreases, pressure under the diaphragm increases. This pressure overcomes regulator setting which is set by a spring. This results in movement of pad holding assembly towards seat to minimize gas flow area. If the demand of downstream increases, pressure under the diaphragm decreases. Spring force pushes the diaphragm lever assembly downwards which results in movement of pad holding assembly away from the seat to increase the gas flow area.

Adjustment : To increase the outlet pressure setting of the regulator, the spring adjustment screw (Part No. 6) must be turned clock wise with the help of 14 mm spanner. This requires loosening of lock nut. Do not adjust the spring to produce an outlet pressure setting above the limit identified on the information Label. After the completion of Spring adjustment,tighten the lock nut.
